Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has invited top US businessman and CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, to visit Bangladesh and launch the Starlink satellite service in the country.

In a letter to Musk on February 19, Yunus said that his visit would provide an opportunity to meet the young people of Bangladesh, who would be key beneficiaries of this advanced technology.

"Let us work together to deliver our mutual vision for a better future," the Chief Adviser wrote.

He emphasized that integrating Starlink into Bangladesh's infrastructure would have a transformative impact, particularly on the country's youth, rural women, and remote communities.

Prof Yunus also asked his High Representative, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, to work closely with SpaceX to ensure Starlink is ready for launch within the next 90 working days.

Earlier, on February 13, Prof Yunus had a telephonic discussion with Musk to explore collaboration and progress on introducing Starlink satellite internet service in Bangladesh.
