Nahid Islam, one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has been assigned to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.

Another coordinator Asif Mahmud has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

This information was announced in a notification by the Cabinet Division on Friday.

Nahid Islam has a political background in addition to his role as an activist. He is a central leader of Gonotantrik Chhatra Shakti, which was formed under the leadership of former DUCSU Social Welfare Secretary Akhtar Hossain, following the departure from the Student Rights Protection Council.

Asif Mahmud is also a central leader of Gonotantrik Chhatra Shakti, which was established on 3 October, 2023.
