Another official said the carrier landed along with 400 passengers and 12 crew members. The passengers will be departed to Dubai with another Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight.
An official of Biman Bangladesh Airlines told Banglanews that the pilot made an emergency landing after a warning light suddenly turned on, thinking there might be a technical issue.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines General Manager (Public Relations) Bosra Islam on Thursday afternoon said, at 8:53 pm last night, BG-347, a Boeing-777 aircraft, departed from Dhaka for Dubai with 395 passengers.
She said at approximately 10:45 pm, the captain received a technical signal in mid-air, resulting in an emergency landing at the nearby Nagpur Airport in India.
The Biman General Manager said that all kinds of support were provided to the passengers at the Nagpur Airport in a very smooth manner.
Another aircraft is going to Dubai with the passengers. Biman Bangladesh Airlines authorities express their deepest regret for the temporary inconvenience, this official added.
