Ireland Women’s team posted a total of 134-5 against Bangladesh in the second T20 International of the three-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday (December 7).
The Bangladesh Women's team, who lost the first match by 12 runs, must win this game to keep their chances alive in the series.
Earlier, Ireland won the toss and chose to bat first, but Bangladesh's bowlers controlled the game, preventing the Irish team from scoring quickly, unlike the first T20 when Ireland scored 169-5.
Laura Delany was the top scorer for Ireland, contributing 35 runs, while Orla Prendergast added 32 runs.
For Bangladesh, Nahida Akter impressed with the ball, claiming 2 wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Jahanara Alam, Jannatul Ferdous, and Fahima Khatun each took one wicket to help limit the Irish team's total.
With the game in progress, Bangladesh must now chase down the target to keep their hopes alive in the series.
