A Dhaka court today ordered the arrest of Salman F Rahman, former private industry affairs adviser to ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and former Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam in connection with a murder case filed at Bhatara Police Station. 

Additionally, former senior secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Md Mohibul Haque, was shown arrested in an attempted murder case filed at the Tejgaon Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Zunaid passed the orders as police produced the three before the court and pleaded to show them 
arrested in the cases.

Salman F Rahman was apprehended on August 13, 2024, in the Sadarghat area while attempting to flee Dhaka with former law minister Anisul Huq via the waterways. 

Atiqul Islam was arrested from Mohakhali DOHS on October 16, 2024, and Md Mohibul Haque was detained from the same area on November 20, 2024.
