The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally winds for the next 24 hours, starting from this morning.
The forecast specifically applies to one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, while other parts of the country are expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies.
A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and the surrounding area, and the seasonal low is positioned over the South Bay. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while nighttime temperatures may rise by 1-2°C.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.2°C at Baghabari in Sirajganj, Jashore, and Khepupara in Patuakhali. The minimum temperature today was 17.0°C at Tetulia in Panchagarh.
