Members of customs detectives today (December 4) recovered 11 pieces of gold bars weighing 1.283 kgs from Sylhet Osmani international airport.
The gold bars were recovered from a flight (BG-248) that left Dubai at 9:50am.
Bikash Chandra Debnath, Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Osmani Airport Airfreight of the Customs Department, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
He said that the gold bars were in an abandoned state inside the carrier.
The current market value of the recovered gold is TK1.38cr, the official added.
