The first phase of Biswa Ijtema is set to conclude this morning (Feb 2) with the Akheri Munajat along the banks of the Turag River in Tongi.
Since 4:00 am, Muslims from across the country have been arriving at the Ijtema ground to participate in the final prayer.
Maulana Kefayet Ullah, the senior cleric of Shura-e-Nezami, announced that the prayer would commence at 9:00 am.
The Akheri Munajat will be led by Maulana Zubair, the chief cleric of Shuray-e-Nezam in Bangladesh.
From the early hours of the day, devotees have been traveling to the Ijtema ground via the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, with many walking the 10-kilometer stretch from Bhogra bypass to the congregation site.
