A construction worker died after falling from an under-construction building in the capital's Badda area on Sunday (Nov 17).

The accident occurred around 10:00 am while he was working on the 8th floor of an eight-story building near Hossain Market in Badda.

Shah Alam Farazi, 50, was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) by his co-workers, where doctors pronounced him dead at 11:30 am.

Shah Alam hailed from Patuakhali Sadar upazila. His late father was Ubbat Ali Farazi. He lived in the Subastu Tower area of Badda.

Inspector Md. Faruk, in charge of the DMCH Police Camp, confirming the matter said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
