‘Rhythm of Youth’ concert pays tribute to legends

Band Artcell paid tribute to George Harrison, Ravi Shankar, Azam Khan, Souls, Miles, and Ayub Bachchu during their performance at the ‘Rhythm of Youth’ concert on Friday (February 28) at the Bashundhara Toggi Club ground.

The band opened their set with Pothchola, followed by Onnoshomoy from their debut album and Oniket Prantor. To mark their 25th anniversary, they performed a tribute set featuring Brishti Dekhe Onek Kedechhi, Rail Liner Bostite, Bangladesh Bangladesh, Neela Tumi Ki Janona, and Brishti Sheshe Rupali Akash.

Before the final song, Artcell members asked the audience to raise their phone lights, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere as if stars had descended to dance with the music. The band concluded their performance with Dukkho Bilash, sung by Lincoln D’Costa.

Earlier, bands Meghdol and 3AD performed at the concert. The event, which began shortly after 4 pm, was introduced by host Mahmuda Maha, who recalled the youth movements of 2024.

Crowds began gathering at the venue before 2 pm, and gates opened shortly afterward.

Rockstar Nagar Baul James is set to headline the concert, with performances also lined up from Shironamhin, Avoid Rafa, and Angel Noor & Band.

The ‘Rhythm of Youth’ concert aims to inspire young people to engage in music and sports. The open-air concert will continue until midnight.
