The second Test between India and Bangladesh has faced significant delays due to adverse weather at the Green Park Stadium, affecting the start of play on the third day today (Sept 29). 

Persistent overnight rain left the outfield wet, causing a pause in the action as Bangladesh looked to resume at 107 for 3 in their first innings.

Following a rain-marred opening day that allowed only 35 overs, the second day saw no play at all. 

India's bowlers had made early inroads before the interruptions, with Akash Deep taking two wickets for 34 runs and veteran Ravichandran Ashwin claiming one wicket for 22 runs.

Umpires have scheduled an inspection at 10 am to assess playability, keeping players and fans hopeful. India currently leads the two-match series 1-0 after a commanding 280-run victory in the Chennai Test. 

The ongoing weather delays pose a challenge to both teams, with India looking to seal the series and Bangladesh aiming to draw level.
