DHAKA: A special court on Thursday sent popular singer Arefin Rumi to jail cancelling his bail in a case for repression allegations over dowry filed by his wife Ananya.

The Women and Children Oppression prevention tribunal Dhaka-4 Judge Ariful Haque passed the order at around 11:30am.

Confirming the mater, Forkan Ali, a clerk of the court, told banglanews, “The court canceled Arefin Rumi’s bail-term as he violated the condition of negotiation given by his wife.”

Earlier in the morning, the singer appeared before the court in the case.    

Earlier on October 12, Singer Arefin Rumi was arrested in the case filed by his wife. And the singer was granted bail several times.
