DHAKA: Film director Mohammad Hannan passed away after suffering cardiac arrest at a Barisal-bound launch while going to village home on Tuesday midnight.

Hannan, also former president of Bangladesh Film Directors` Association, breathed his last at 12:00am.

His first namaz-e-janaza will be held at 12:00pm Wednesday at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation premises.

Bangladesh Film Directors` Association president Shahidul Islam Khokon said film industry expressed deep shock at the demise of Mohammad Hannan. His memory will live in the heart of film lovers for his contribution in the industry. ”
