Dhaka actress Tama Mirza has sent a legal notice to Misty Zannat for defaming her on social media with derogatory statements. 

In the notice Tama also demanded a public apology from Misty Zannat and Tk10 crore in compensation. 

Barrister Shajib Mahmood Alam sent the notice via a registered post on Thursday on behalf of Tama Mirza.

The legal notice mentioned two statements given by Misty Zannat in a video targeting Mirza on social media. The notice said that by the defamation statements, Tama Mirza’s reputation has been damaged amongst the journalists and the people. Such statements hurt Tama’s character and personality. It is a punishable offense. 

The notice claimed these defamatory statements on digital media were purposefully made for harassment, causing Tk 10 crore in damages.

The notice also asked Misty Zannat for a public apology and to pay the compensation money within seven days. Besides, it has been asked to refrain from such comments later. Otherwise, necessary legal action will be taken.
