‘12 Years a Slave’, ‘American Hustle’ vie for Oscars

DHAKA: Steve McQueen’s ‘12 Years a Slave’, con drama ‘American Hustle’ and space movie ‘Gravity’ have all been nominated for best picture at this year’s Oscars.

They will compete against British film ‘Philomena’, ‘Captain Phillips’, ‘Nebraska’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, reports the BBC.

‘Dallas Buyers Club’ and ‘Her’ are also nominated for the coveted top award.

The winner will be announced at the Oscars ceremony on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.
