DHAKA: Star Cineplex premiered Hollywood blockbuster sequel movie ‘Thor: The Dark World’ at Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in city’s Panthapath area.

The 3D version of this action, adventure and fantasy movie had its Dhaka premiere Thursday evening.

The movie will be screened at 11:00am, 1:30pm, 4:00pm and 6:45pm everyday from Friday onwards.

A 2013 American movie ‘Thor: The Dark World’ is considered a superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character ‘Thor’.
 
It is the second ‘Thor’ film following 2011’s ‘Thor’ and the eighth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Directed by Alan Taylor the film presents Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins.
 
‘Thor: The Dark World’ was premiered in London on October 22 last. It was released internationally on October 30 and on November 8 in the United States.

The film was a commercial success, having grossed over $630 million worldwide, according to Wikipedia.
