DHAKA: A two-day theatrical presentation of Mir Mosharraf Hossian’s ‘Bishad Sindhu’ will be held at Dhaka University’s Nat Mandal.

Abayab natyadal will stage the historical novel, scripted by Sharif Nasrullah and directed by Mohammad Jasim Uddin, at 6:30pm in December 13 and 14.

The story of ‘Bishad Sindhu’ is based on the tragic incident in Karbala, highlighting the spirit of righteousness.

This novel, which is considered one of the most influential literary works among the Bangali readers, narrates the martyrdom of Hassan and Hossain.

Shahidul Haque Shyanan, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Kazi Delowar Hemonto, Saki Pratima, Bidyut, Anik, Sharif, Shamim, Sajib, Alamgir, Saju, Raju, Liton, Masum, Sathi and Parul, among others, will perform in the play.

The ticket of the show is priced at taka 100 and 200 each.
