Renowned actor and freedom fighter Khalekuzzaman died on Tuesday (Mar 21) morning. He was 73.

He breathed his last at 9am at his residence at Gulshan in the capital.  

Ahsan Habib Nasim, president of Abhiniya Shilpi Sangh, general secretary Raonak Hasan confirmed the matter. 

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the mosque in Kurmitola at 5pm.

Khalekuzzaman was born at Santahar in Bogura. He completed his Masters in Drama and Fine Arts from Chittagong University. 

In 1975, he was enlisted as an actor in Bangladesh Television (BTV).
