DHAKA: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Tuesday said the Rabindra University would start its journey from the next session in the next year.

The education minister came with the assertion in response to a question from lawmaker M Hasibur Rahman Swapan in the parliament.

He said the government decided to set up the university keeping memorial of Rabindranath Tagore at Shahjadpur of Sirajganj district.

University Grants Commission has already formulated a draft act and DPP and placed it to the government, the House was told.
