RAJSHAHI: The first year’s classes of all departments in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) will start from Saturday.

Confirming the matter, the university authorities have asked the students to get their class routines from respective departments.

The authorities also advised to the students to manage their accommodation as there is no seat available in the varsity halls.

Earlier on Thursday, an orientation program was held in the campus for the students of 2013-14 sessions.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university professor Dr. Mortuza Ali was present in the program as chief guest.

He said that the Engineering profession is the most important profession because a tiny mistake of an architect can wipe out millions of lives. So the young new learners should make them skilled and efficient engineers in future for the sake of country and humanity, he added.

Director of Student Welfare Professor Dr. Kamruzzaman Ripon presided over the program where the Dean of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering professor Dr. Shaiduzzaman, Head of the Architecture Department Professor Dr. Iqbal Motin and others were also present.
