JAGANNATH UNIVERSITY: The agitating students of Jagannath University will hold a grand rally to press home their demand to recover of their grabbed halls on March 16.

The rally will be held at Central Shaheed Minar in capital.

Convener of the committee of student movement association for recovering halls Shariful Islam on Thursday announced the programme.

He said the teachers and students of the university will gather at Shaheed Minar at 9:00am.

Earlier in the morning, the students marched to Mughaltuli to recover Bazlur Rahman Hall.

After facing police obstructions, students returned to the campus and announced the fresh programme.

Moreover, locals of Bazlur Rahman Hall area torched the banner earlier set by the students in front of the hall.
