The authorities of Jagannath University (JnU) said the 2023-2024 academic year classes of the 24 general, science and technology (GST) universities across the country will start from July 1 to July 15.

Vice-Chancellor of JnU Sadeka Halim made the remark while talking to reporters after visiting the admission test center of C Unit (Commerce) on Friday (May 10) afternoon.

She said, "We discussed with the Vice-Chancellor of Jashore Science and Technology University and the convener of the cluster admission test organizing committee Prof. Anwar Hossain about starting the classes.”

“Hopefully we can start the classes between July 1 and July 15,” she added. 

The one hour examination of C unit admission test started at 11 am.

A total of 40,116 students participated in the 24 universities for the admission exam.

Of the students participated, 12,513 students took the exam at Jagannath University Center.

Earlier, on April 27, after the admission test of A unit (Science), Jagannath University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Sadeka Halim announced classes to begin on August 1. 

However, she today expressed her hope to start classes between July 1 and 15.
