DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) general index rose over 12 points to stand at 4,140 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 1,17,094 with transaction at Tk 5412 million. Of the issues traded, 157 advanced, 113 declined and 24 remained unchanged.

GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 439 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSCCL, PADMAOI, ACTIVEFINE, TALLUSPIN, HEIDELBCEM, OLYMPIC, UNITEDAIR, RNSPIN and MPETROLEUM.     .

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,066 by gaining over 13 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 105 gained, 90 declined and 19 remained unchanged.
